I spent a good chunk of my Saturday playing Skyrim. I turned off Survival Mode so I could use Fast Travel to gather materials to renovate the Goldenhills Plantation, but I found myself missing those gameplay limitations. I need to buy a horse for getting around faster. #gaming

So, it turns out: Wheat and Blue Mountain Flowers both have Restore Health and Fortify Health effects, and both are farm-growable, meaning you can rapidly craft as many of those as you'll ever need at Goldenhills Plantation and basically never die. :V

Well, tonight's Skyrim session was a simple one. Rode out to Rorikstead, bought a goat, exorcised a farm and planted some crops. Made one of the housecarls I won't be using much steward there. I don't plan to use Goldenhills Plantation for anything other than ingredient-farming and moneys.

Worked on the survival mode playthrough some more. Found some camping and other survival based mods that I added, one that puts a carriage at goldenhills, a few dialog mods, and most importantly capes and pouches!! I have an idea for a good starting route, all in good time!

The only plantation that’s kosher is Goldenhills Plantation, just east of Rorikstead. Once you set the spirits to rest and upgrade it a little, you can have exactly enough plots to grow perfect proportions of ingredients for the most valuable potion in all of Skyrim!

This is Goldenhills Plantation, which is content created by fans and included in the special edition. So it wasn’t there when I played years ago! I did ride my horse to the farm once and randomly absorb a dragon soul even though I never saw a dragon or anyone fighting one!

I don’t have anything under creations. So at the main menu what do I need to download from the creations to make it work?

Under my installed content on the pause menu it has farming and mentions the Goldenhills Plantation.

One of the self imposed challenges is I only fast travel between populated areas, so next stop is heading through Brittleshin Pass to get back to Whiterun(or possibly Rorikstead + Goldenhills Plantation) after hitting the underwater ruin on the north side of the lake.

One thing that I'm enjoying about Skyrim is that you can totally just play it Cozy Mode now. I'm an unarmed Khajiit who now owns a wheat farm with cattle, a horse, 3 employees, and I just bought this expensive house.

My character is currently in level 1, and the game is on Legendary Difficulty :3
My female khajiit cozy farmer pugilist, "BB" standing next to her horse in front of Tundra Homestead near Whiterun, which I bought some time ago using ONLY money I gained from "Honest Pay for Honest Work". Thanks to Creation Club additions (which includes this house), I was able to obtain Goldenhills Plantation, where I planted exclusively Wheat, which fetches the highest price that I could find (5 coins a piece), that farm is now making MAD money while I go off exploring the game's map uncovering mines and such so I can gather materials to either sell or craft into armors and gain levels *later*. For now, I have avoided using weapons or armor (instead relying on the Lord Stone which gives you JUST enough protection to handle about half of the enemies you'll run into at level 1) and largely avoided combat altogether. I am also fishing a lot and trying to clear those quests. Yup it's like Skyrimdew Valley up in here

Hmph. Well, since Creation Club stuff had to use generic voiced lines, all the hired hands at Goldenhills Plantation use generic lines for whatever race your character is.

"What do you want, little elf?" says my farmhand as I walk up to my front door.
