3. Practically Validated
Like martial arts kata:
∙ Can’t be “proven” by analysis
∙ Must be performed to understand
∙ Effectiveness shown through practice
∙ Transmission teacher-to-student through mimetic engagement

Hey, Paul! That was a while ago but it was a martial arts demo I did for MTV! A film producer happened to be watching that episode & ended up buying the first 3 books in the Imago series. After she read, she hunted me down to option rights for a film trilogy.

Alternatively, martial arts only
get rid of guns existing in the world and bring back only medieval-like combat, if you wanna kill someone you should work for it

Tonight while the girls were at their martial arts class me and the boy lit a fire and cooked dogs and s’mores. We went out front and whatever the Ukrainians across the street were cooking smelled amazing.

You should tell your story on how you got a TV/movie deal by demonstrating how to use a book as a weapon when you were teaching one of your martial arts classes. It puts a big, daft grin on my face every time I think about it! 😁

I went from teenage mixed martial arts student with an eight pack to full-time cane user in under a decade.

GAME OF DEATH II is one of my favorites of all time (I’ve only seen it in the English dubbed version Fortune Star puts out).

When it comes to martial arts films and GAME OF DEATH’s ghoulish resurrection of Bruce Lee, it’s a funnier spoof than KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE. Who cares if it wasn’t made as one
Share an actual fight scene with actual humans made by actual humans 🖤

that part i don't, and your article is the first time i heard of that idea at all. To me it doesn't track, as India doesn't really have a martial arts scene like that, but i am more going off of vibes than facts.

He DOES. We are all ready to send him Valentines, casseroles, and a martial arts coach.

As a black belt and martial arts instructor, I can't endorse pulling back and swinging a haymaker at any pro-ICE protesters.

However, if you first lead with a fast left jab, then learn to use your hips to deliver a shorter right hook punch that is harder for the opponent to dodge...
over on x the everything app some Chicago high school kid named Danny Spud tried to disrupt his school's anti-ICE protest by yelling about how much he loves ICE and then filmed himself getting walloped by a fellow student lmao

the quote tweet making fun of him has 3x the likes

I think it was the artistic mark I objected to, probably? I remember believing he'd been punished by stodgy judges for his martial arts-inspired choreography. (I felt similarly about Bourne and Kraatz.)

… do we know a martial arts school near there . That’s a warrior and I need the baby trained up in the way they have valiantly chosen to go .

Anyone who can go toe-to-toe with the gravity-defying fireball-throwing teleporting ki masters of Street Fighter using basically straight-up goddarn martial arts is a winner in my book.

My understanding is that the slow movements load the stabilising muscles for longer and build strength, but without causing the wear and tear on joints and bones that other martial arts do. Fair warning. I’m a real novice and am possibly talking out of my arse.

Being like a rock wall" is when a master of martial arts suddenly becomes like a rock wall, inaccessible to anything at all, immovable.

If I ever get the level of hatred in my heart to double Sharp knee another being like Robin or Tony Jaa in a martial arts movie, just know it wasn’t for the love of the game.

It’s cause I wanted pure, unconditional, non-verbal communication of the rage I had to explain with ya FUUL CHEST!

When I was a young rat looking for food in the big city. I encountered a bigger rat teaching martial arts to 4 turtles. I never did learn his moves, but he taught me how to use my fingers better. I miss those turtles. Donogoblin, Mikhawk, Lipslicker, and Ron. I hope Master Cuntspliter is doing well.

A couple decades late considering it was one of my cousin's favorite movies and he had a bad ass replica of the main sword hung on his wall, but I finally watched HIGHLANDER. Same cousin that got me into martial arts film in the first place. I see why he held it in such high regard.

He also sees a mysterious Miqote who fights without weapons, thinks it's his unknown dad protecting him, and decides to learn martial arts. But it was actually Bad End Black Rose Timey Wimey BS Miw'a. AdultMiw'a transfers his aether to Baby!Miw'a, saving himself - or at least this timeline's.

Mei Min is my favorite part of Iron Fist: Shattered Sword. She is badass, intelligent and fearless. With her level of martial arts skill, my fan canon is she and her mother were part of Lie Kung’s Army of Thunder from Immortal Iron Fist.
