Looking up cave art and come across more stuff on megaloceros sub species and their paddles just get more crazy.
I feel so shallow for not knowing there were more, ice age megafauna, mainly deer, just get crazy in how they’re antlers looked

Irish elk is the wrong name. It’s giant deer (Megaloceros giganteus). Elk and old world deer which giant deer are part of are separated in evolution by millions of years. ‘Irish elk’ used by Stephen Gould long time ago and unfortunately it stuck.It’s wrong scientifically & inaccurate
