Thomas Megson had m. Mary Outhet/Outhwaite belatedly in 1817, after his 1st wife (a widow whom he seems to have m. to get farm tenancy) had d. in 1812.They had already had at least a couple of daughters, Ellen (my gt-gt-gt-grandmother) c. 1802 & Mary c 1809.

Yes. I think Hannah also had glass/china shop, too (1881 Census, Redcar) after she was widowed. I've not found Jane's birth record. She used diff surnames: Outhet/Outhwaite (her maternal grandmother's name, also used by her mother) & Megson/Magson, her maternal grandfather's name. (cont)

About the size & shape of fish eggs, nurdles are often mistakenly eaten by sea creatures. As Dr David Megson tells Watershed's @leanahosea.bsky.social, plastic readily absorbs pollutants that are passed to the animals that eat them:

We've put in some occasional halves of football but so what, we're in our worst position since before Megson, we can't win, or even draw, away from home, we rarely score and he has no tactical or in game management skills at all. I think we'll improve under someone else. Maybe we won't.

The talk of Steve Bruce being a possibility of replacing Sammy Lee sent shivers down the spine. Though I think I remember that Phil Gartside wanted Megson all along and some of the original booing he got was for the charade of a job process, I think we all believed Souness' side of the story.

Buff-Mas part five - and a hark back to a dark night at Ewood Park where Bolton fans banded together in song. And Gary Megson was not happy. 🎙️

3 games seems harsh but as a Forest fan I know sometimes managers don't fit and need to go asap. McLeish, Ange, Megson and many more.

Need to get rid of whoever hired him too as it looked odd even from the outside.

Fondly remembering the week after the first Gary Megson promotion was confirmed when we toured the pubs of Wolverhampton and placed our orders with the words “we’re enjoying the Premier”. Glorious days. Terrible beer, though. Terrible hangovers too.

This time last year I was in Turin and we were absolute shite against Juve. We’ve come a long long way since then. Still wish we had someone who could put a foot on the ball, slow it down and keep possession. We’ve not kept the ball for about 40 minutes. Is Gary Megson not available?

Interesting fact of the day 23 – 10th December 1979 – Gary Megson came in on loan from Plymouth Argyle (Sourceefcstattocom)

My first visit to Southampton was the defeat in which Megson went on an Iffy rant.
Last visit to Southampton was a 3-0 defeat under Pulis.

Think this game was the turning point for me not going to go to games any longer.

Prof Dave Megson: "We see plastic pollution and think it’s an issue, we smell sewage pollution and think it’s an issue, but I’m much more concerned about the invisible risks from forever chemicals which can cause much more severe health effects."
Our report on pollution from landfill with @investigate-europe.eu was covered by Martin Stew on ITV News last night. If you fancy watching the whole piece, it's available here:
