I visited Abbey Wood in Killarney National Park over the weekend where a massive job of rhododendron removal has been undertaken in the last year or so with the help of Killarney Moutain Meitheal. The area is now deer fenced to allow recovery - very impressive work!

First of all, we chose a system name of Meitheal, which is irish, used to describe that... deep bond of connection rural communities develop despite not being family. We felt as a whole it represented who we strive to be and have been striving to be our entire life.
