I have so much automotive filling primer in my lungs from trying to fill and sand down the layer lines in a menpo. I've been trying to figure out how normies view layer lines, like aesthetically, but I don't know any normies so progress remains slow.

I maintain the headcanon that the "face" on the old model is just a mask Vect wears into battle, like a samurai menpō, it's supposed to be ugly and frightening. He's probably way hotter when he takes his armor off.

I wanted to try redesigning his ninja gear but I kinda like. forgot what I was going for lmao. I guess I liked the original design for the shinguards and menpo enough to keep them

Ever grateful that Monster Hunter continues to include cutscene galleries. It's fun going back and looking at the previous scenes when you're wearing outfits that you're happy with ❤️

I was hoping that refreshing Kagami's ref would give me inspiration to design the other two members of his squad. The original idea was that they're a 3 Wise Monkeys reference; Kagami was the Speaks No Evil because he wears a menpō as part of his gear(the other 2 would wear a visor and headphones)

Well, the mask she is wearing is a type of facial armor: menpō/menbō (there are other names), which were mostly decorative masks designed simply to frighten, showing enemies a ghostly appearance with an inexpressive face.
