#millionaires
But how will the millionaires survive if they pay an additional two percent? Surely they’ll starve!

This is no way to run a stable state government:

- massively regressive tax system
- #waleg finally starts to pass reform
- governor late to the game finally is public about his conditions which halves the revenue

This is how millionaires become billionaires and billionaires become multi billionaires. Every business should be taxed, including churches. They are businesses as well.
Insanity. They are laughing at us.

Each election we're asked to vote on some much-needed tax increase.
And ultra-millionaires & billionaires still have no Wealth Tax.
Proposed Wealth Taxes have been reasonable: from 2 to 6% (Switzerland's is 5%).
Still: nothing.

Meanwhile 90% of taxpayers have seen their wealth & assets decline.

Funny how all the politicians & millionaires
including funders of Reform Ltd
who post scare stories about Sharia law
have property, investments, take holidays
in Dubai, are happy to sell arms to Saudi Arabia,
which both have legal systems based on Sharia law

Shocking data one who really funds #ReformUK

No surprise...the wealthy!

With a whopping 63% of their money (since 2019) coming from ONE MAN ...billionaire Christopher Harborne

Get the receipt from #thenerve […]

can we stop inventing new words to describe "we fucked up the economy so bad that it only works for millionaires" and just do the obvious already
February 18, 2026 at 4:07 PM
WSJ is for people who nevertheless *earn* their own money by working (even if this work is managing others); many are multi-millionaires but they're not billionaires and they are good enough at math to know they never will be.
notorious radical left communist rag says tax the rich

French study : 13000 millionaires (and above) don't pay any income tax.

( You can get a "salary" without having an income by taking out a loan against your - say company's - wealth at a interest rate of a handful of %, compared to double digit tax % for income. So tax is this avoided )

I know this, because the millionaires they use as cover, that own these mansions, have talked about it with me in veiled terms & directly, while having 🍷 on their yachts

They really get a kick out of participating in a James Bond like scenario. Secret rooms, bags of money & spies on a mission

3/ Beyond that, today's @wsj.com has a fine piece on how the tax avoidance strategies of billionaires are different in kind from those of mere multi-millionaires. Here's a link:

Billionaires’ Low Taxes Are Becoming a Problem for the Economy
Tax avoidance by the superwealthy is an economic issue as well as a political one.

Its odd, right? This guy lived the life of luxury. Then his 15 minutes ended and we're bailing out millionaires? The need to help erase medical debt is immense among us commoners.

The pay for Congresspeople is almost moot as more than half of the Representatives are already multi-millionaires or richer. One of my Dem Reps is worth north of $30m and her husband is worth about $8b. She's there for power, not because she needs the money. Even taking their pay away does little.

Ooh Aid, give it a break, mate. Reform’s backing is totally grassroots, just with the usual village fete donors: hedge funds, millionaires, and a bloke called Tarquin who owns three water companies. Proper people’s party, brought to you by offshore receipts and a gold-plated honesty.

While the average American worker can afford neither now, so who exactly is this piece for? Fellow millionaires?

Business men proclaiming to be self made millionaires is farcical. They make £££ through, amongst other things lower wages for higher returns. Exploit is all his ilk know and they won't stop squeezing till the the pips squeak.

No different from the Mamdani election, the money the millionaires and billionaires spent trying to bet him was more than they would have paid under his plan. They just want to decide how & who their money helps.

Of course, they do. WEALTH buys you all the influence & power you want, it buys elections! Just ask Bezos, Musk, Witkoff, Zuckerberg, other millionaires/billionaires in/outside regime who have Epstein connections. NONE being investigated except democrat Clinton!

Lindsay Graham crying over Trump's legal woes is like a soap opera with no end: dramatic but predictable. Honey, if hypocrisy could be bottled, they'd be millionaires. 🍾🎭💕 Keep sipping that tea, darling, but don't spill it on your crocodile tears! 🐊 🫣

I have a firmly held belief that letting the dumbest, easily fooled "investors" in the world become bitcoin millionaires has had a tremendous societal downside.
