After the festive decor comes down, and while we wait for Spring to color our world, the sight of a new bloom can really add some delightful atmosphere to a room. 👌
An orchid plant shows off 2 new bright pink blooms, a bud is unfurling and 2 more buds are almost ready to bloom. Through the lacy curtain in the background, there is a hint of the pine tree outside that are basking in the afternoon sun, on this last day of January.

Adding some joy to the timeline - this is an orchid plant I gave to my MIL the Mothers Day before she passed in late 2023. We adopted the orchid back from FIL in March 2025. The orchid had almost died.

It recovered & bloomed again this week.

I’ve never been able to get an orchid to rebloom before.
A beautiful orchid bloom in yelliw-green and dark fuchsia. More buds are coming on the branch that curves to the right of the photo.
