I guess this is just to commiserate, but as someone who has researched the value of belonging in the postsecondary world, where there are literal mission statements regarding sense of belonging, and that work is widely undervalued.

It doesn't mean quick money, so it doesn't matter

I'm very much drawn to the scholarship on disabled postsecondary students which talks about mastering the role of student (studenting) because so much literature just completely ignores that the learner is often expected to play a very specific role, even though we never explicitly teach that.
