What’s frightening- his medical license was renewed twice.
Amongst many horrifying things about this story, the most concerning is that his medical license was renewed in 2023
I spent the morning readinga deeply reported and revealing article in ProPublica about a cancer doctor in my state’s capital who had a few superlatives to his name…longest-lived stage 4 lung cancer patient in the world, most hours billed of any doctor, most morphine prescribed in 2017.

This is semantics. I didn’t imply at all that he was never a Dr. he can no longer practice as a Dr is what I said. Dr Phil has a PhD in psychology, so he's a psychologist, not a psychiatrist. He has not renewed his license since 2006. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor, while a psychologist is not.

Medical masks must be allowed as we still are in a pandemic despite what people might think. Proper authorities should have a badge with an unmasked photo ID (I took mine off long enough to do that when I got my license renewed last). They should also have prominent name tag.
All states need to pass laws that masks are not allowed. This is kidnapping if you’re unwilling to identify yourself.

You only have to see drivers over 80 who can barely function never mind see probably! Ridiculous how easy it is to get a license renewed without a test or often even a medical

Renewed my medical license (happy early birthday to me, I get to spend $600!) and the hardest question to answer was what kind of place I worked b/c "clinic" no longer an option. An FQHC is not a private office, and it's not quite a group practice, nor a government facility 🤷♀️

anyway, I found this all very depressing. If the Mass RMV makes it this hard to get my license renewed, something that used to take no time at all, & that I was told I cd do online, how can I trust Mass to protect us from Trump? And medical system here is no better. 8 month wait to get eyes checked.

One of the only good things about working in the medical field is the job security, otherwise the pay is not worth the physical and emotional toll it puts on you. 😮💨
