Older people have told us how fear of discrimination and unfair evictions has meant they feel forced to stay in unsuitable properties.

We hope the #RentersRightsAct addresses this but we still need action to ensure everyone has access to a safe, decent home.

From 1 May, the #RentersRightsAct will offer private renters more protection.

Our research shows that older renters are at severe risk of financial insecurity. Without intervention the number of older renters is set to soar.

Very rare thing— an opposition MP unconditionally praising something that the government did.

Really glad that MPs on the left worked together on this.

When you spend all your time fighting inequality, and you get a win, it's so important to take a moment to celebrate! 🎊

Delighted to join Housing Select Committee chair Florence Eshalomi (another rent controls supporter), @rentersreformco.bsky.social & friends to celebrate the #RentersRightsAct!

I love that Labour are STILL really pushing out the posts and content about their Renters Right Act.

Get the info out there and repeat it regularly and with new content and new approaches.

It doesn't work if you post once and hope it reaches people. Keep doing it, like Steve Reed is doing here!
