Can you call yourself a coward simply because the courage of others seems to you out of proportion to the triviality of the occasion? Thus wisdom creates cowards. And thus you miss Opportunity while spending your life on the lookout for it.

I'm interested in the point you make about being taught it was about original sin, can you expand a bit on that? Asking because to me it has always been a book about the evil of power and its triviality (how it can arise in every society)

Triviality sticks
within my memory

warm water flowing
down my bones

melodies sweet
within my ear

glinting sunlight
flashing eyes

days I wished
could last forever

toes stubbing
obdurate furniture

strings of words
that I #recall

but can't repeat
to innocent ears

“Triviality is evil — triviality, that is, in the form of consciousness and mind that adapts itself to the world as it is, that obeys the principle of inertia. And this principle of inertia truly is what is radically evil.”

Like I sort of have to make the inference that this is an absolute triviality; if this were a well-known public community it would be named, and if a meaningful number of people were involved you’d expect a line like “dozens/hundreds/thousands of users voted against the bot in an informal poll”

A last, long, cool formality at dawn on the morning of a day that should never have come. Our lips pressing. A triviality. Or a tear. Somewhere. Or a smile. Our lapse of a #memory dreaming to return, and no, it doesn’t really matter if none of that ever really happened somewhere, does it?

Without doubt the best thing that will happen today. The sheer power even when discoursing on a triviality.

It feels gross to share and promote our show… it’s about nothing. It’s hard to encourage triviality when a lot of people are really struggling. Yet, we made it, we have a release schedule, so if you want to hear about horses and to listen to our new game, we’ve got you.

We will prevail, y’all.

the triviality of phonebooking in places like the US absolutely baffles me (and horrifies me as well) as a citizen of a GDPR-compliant country

Madam's feed does not tolerate triviality! 🤣

I love the prissy primadonnas of BSky and their ridiculous primness.

smtv vengeance - realizing my big issues with smtv are more about the triviality of dampeners and the build-a-demon fusion systems. like the old story, the new storyline seems to be leading to an interesting conclusion but burns out at the start of the third act. definitely an improvement but eh

Peasants** drown in the stagnant swamp of triviality – gossip, reality TV, the pathetic squabbles of the insignificant.
But here? Sipping liquid gold with these apex predators? Silence holds more weight than a thousand tweets. This isn't networking.

People need to relax. At worst this ad deserves...passionate indifference. Weird the level of triviality that earns outrage these days.

Maybe because I’ve been reading this recently, but I’m rubbed the wrong way by any implication that the pencil is a triviality you could easily do without, or limit yourself to two.

The point which matters is we seem to not care what words mean, it is unserious and reflects a growing triviality. A skulker makes you weep with frustration, wing flicking groups of Dunnocks do not, Radde's Warblers and others do.

Now all of us everywhere are thrust into the drama of reconstituting a shattered order. With such a grand scale to work on, does any wealthy art buyer want to purchase smallness and triviality?
But maybe, as we are called to reconstitute a just and humane order, we will need work like this to...
