Yeah, scrivener needs a directory deleted (texttospeech) and dotnet 4.6 installed (easily done with winetricks) forum.literatureandlatte.com/t/tutorial-r... SAPI installed won't work anymore because it's 32-bit, and Scrivener is 64-bit, unless there's a 64-bit version of SAPI.

Question: how do you use AI to improve Linux compatibility? My first guess is that you use it to write winetricks packages on-demand, but that seems difficult.

idk why I avoided lutris for so long but damn it's nice for someone who plays a lot of older games and hates setting up environments in winetricks per game lol

I've said it once, but I'll say it again. It's pretty amazing that a game can come out in early access and is playable day 1 on Linux out of the box with no tweaks or hours scouring the depths of reddit to manually edit winetricks and download missing fonts. What a time to be alive. Thanks Valve.

一度に1つのWinアプリしか起動しないのであれば、何かあったときには、Wineのプロセスをkillすればいいから、WineとWinetricks入れる方が簡単そう。

If you find that Lutris STILL isn't installing stuff, you're going to have to do it manually... Pull up a terminal and run winetricks yourself to install all the windows components:
WINEPREFIX=~/Games/ea-app winetricks
then install all the dotnet components etc.

also if you're running Winetricks/Protontricks and have no idea where all the storages are, they're in the mnt folder
had that problem when I wanted to mod a Steam game with a batch script that required being in the same folder as the game's exe and I couldn't find it anywhere in Protontricks

Winetricks in multilib so whenever you want to run ANY 32-bit software you need the multilib repo as it contaibs the required base libs to support 32-bit binaries - without them you would just get ...

like wdym you stopped supporting linux just before ur last major update (to scriv3) and i can only get it working with winetricks on my desktop, not my laptop

I tried. There apparently wasn't an install script option for Avowed on BattleNet (aka the version you get with PC Game Pass).
I eventually got there, though, by installing Visual C++ Runtime 2015-202X on the BattleNet install with Winetricks.

I finally got Avowed running (after my 5th time downloading it)..
Had to nuke my Battle Net setup, and rebuild it from scratch. Then I had to use WineTricks to install the 2015+ Visual C++ Runtimes.
