For anyone who's travelled by car and, obviously a train or bus, the borders are visible and present. Schengen seems like a good memory from a past long gone. It's frustrating that the media music's still on while the EU is hitting the iceberg

This statement is somewhat disputed by the facts on the ground. Border controls within #Schengen are not only still there, contrary to CJEU judgments and a recent judgment by the Münich Administrative Court, but they are getting further strengthened. Not much to celebrate
