When US citizen Leo Garcia Venegas tried to prove his identity by showing federal agents his REAL ID, they dismissed it as a fake and kept him detained, releasing him only after they bothered to run his Social Security number.

It's not, like, some minor paperwork mistake. If this is correct, ICE rammed a woman's car, threatened her derisively, shot her, and then wrote up a report claiming she drove at them.

Someone prosecute someone for perjury someday please.

It is 85% migrant, a segregated society with a ban on integration in principle and practice, few rights, equal opportunities, nor voice for incomers

I spoke to British Future's Sunder Katwala, who was a refreshing antidote to all the far right rhetoric on immigration, flags, etc. Britain is not nearly as divided as extremists suggest, he says, and we're "a generation ahead" when it comes to multiculturalism.

Even in countries that chose *not* to impose retaliatory tariffs on US spirits, our spirits exports have plummeted. Exports to UK and Japan declined >23% YoY, while exports to the EU were down 12%.
Canada did retaliate - and US exports there fell 85%.
