How common are “survey professionals” - people who take dozens of online surveys for pay - across online panels, and do they harm data quality?

Our paper, FirstView at @politicalanalysis.bsky.social, tackles this question using browsing data from three U.S. samples (Facebook, YouGov, and Lucid):

I've written a bit about how information architectures shape our societies (www.nature.com/articles/s44...). This could foment a dramatic shift if dominant communication channels become superordinate to governmental regulation, controlled by one crazed billionaire.

Evangelicals & right-wing Catholics (who are basically just evangelicals anyway) seem shocked by this. But there’s nothing weird about it in Catholic theology. St. Francis of Assisi referred to brother sun & sister moon. Catholic theology recognizes we are a part of nature, not separate from it.

@gelliottmorris.com I know you take your choice of polls seriously, is there a particular reason why RMG always polls consistently 50% or better? It seems like it's always an outlier even among the registered voter polls.

The part that gives me hope during these dark political times is that “minorities” aren’t minorities any more and that we have an appreciable degree of political and economic power to resist 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽

So say it, Hegseth.

President Truman desegregated the military in 1948. That would be when the “wokeness” began, huh?

Say it.

Trump: "We won World War 1. We won World War 2. We won everything in between. We won everything before. And all of the sudden they decide to change the name. They went woke then too, you know. Woke is a long term. Word."

A must-read analysis. There can be no compromise:

"an agreement you and I sign that binds you to do what I want, grants me new leverage over you to demand more in the future, and does very little to bind me"

"hang[s] a sword of Damocles over any compact-signing university that is not there today"
