That IRL meetup sounds super fun. Have not had that experience. But it is very cool meeting people IRL after interacting here.

I think the score over the years is roughly 53,679 positive points to 53,585 negative psychic damage points. I mean I’m still here posting through it. FOR THE MOMENT.

One thing to remember is that global land temperatures are rising quite a bit faster than overall global surface temperatures averaged over the land and ocean. IPCC (2019) said that land temperatures rose ~75% more than global average temperatures since 1850.

I went out back in the rain this morning to take a few pictures to get me through the week. 🌱 #FlowerReport #Bloomscrolling
Young hydrangea bloom on a plant that’s winding down for the year. Pink dahlia with raindrops. Kelsey Dwarf, a nice compact little plant. Bumble Rumble dahlia, pink and white petals with white collarette petals around a golden center. Bee Happy dahlia, magenta petals that are burgundy toward the center.

Mercenaria mercenaria, the hard clam or quahog, is a staple in New England cuisine. Its Latin name, Mercenaria, refers back to the use of shell wampum beads as currency, while 'quahog' comes from its Narragansett name, poquauhock. It also has varying common names depending on size! (296)
A size chart from Fulton Fish Market, showing how different market sizes have different common names. The biggest are Chowder clams, next down cherrystone, then topneck, then littleneck
