Hi. I was part of theatre Twitter a long time ago. My username there was a character in a musical. I have followers here I don’t want to cross-pollinate with the last place, so I won’t post it but IYKYK
I'm listening to someone being interviewed on the radio who I'm almost certain is reading texts while trying to talk and it is so aggravating

1. Graham Platner is an oyster farmer and Marine Corps veteran who’s running for the United States Senate in Maine. He’s trying to knock off Susan Collins. He’s presented himself as a common-man candidate who stands against oligarchy, genocide and the oppression of the little guy.
I have watched the Klingon K Pop no fewer than 10 times
I remember introducing an Australian friend to pumpkin ice cream, which she was intrigued by since she was used to pumpkin being only savory (I guess that’s what they just do down under). She tried her best to be polite, but her face was a mix of 😐 and 🤨
Oh, and I didn't even mention the squirrels. They regularly eat my next-door neighbor's tomatoes and the one summer I grew cantaloupe, let's say I ended up sharing unwillingly.
I garden on a patio the size of a California king bed. I've lived in this house since 2013 and for about half of these summers, edible plants have dominated the patio. And even w/ the basil, green onions, potatoes, and peppers I've grown, I would've made exactly one meal a season at most for myself.
On Threads, the usual suspects are telling ppl about to lose SNAP benefits to just start a garden. As a gardener, I had to laugh. You need at LEAST an acre of land to feed a family of 4. Start-up costs are enormous. But yes, subsistence farming on the balcony of your rental apartment is the answer

It takes 30 days to grow a radish. Also 2/3 of the country is already in or entering winter.

A fun thing you can do!
A Girl Scout troop in the council where I used to work is taking on a project to renaming a couple of outdated camp property features. They made an online poll to vote on new names--I'd just love to see it get a high turnout to support this great initiative! gsci.wufoo.com/forms/mvrh7r...

practical reasons to fully tear down the white house after trump is outta there:

- that place has got to be crawling with devices from every spy agency on earth by now

- after a decade of trump and biden, you’re never getting the old man stink out
Is this where Eric Adams’ haters become his waiters at the table of success?

I’m thinking…of writing a new musical…adapting Peter Pan or Alice in Wonderland…but with some dark, fucked up twist…I am very original
Why say sorry if you don’t mean it?
"Two thirty-five.
Bridge tables sprouted from patio walls. Playing cards fluttered onto pads in a shower of pips.
Martinis manifested on an oaken bench with egg-salad sandwiches. Music played."
The AWS outage bricked people's $2,700 smartbeds, leaving them in a reclining position or with the heat up. People were unable to use them, basically. A GitHub repo exists that lets people operate their beds without reliance on the normal infrastructure

The AWS Outage Bricked People’s $2,700 Smartbeds
When Amazon Web Services went offline, people lost control of their cloud-connected smart beds, getting stuck in reclined positions or roasting with the heat turned all the way up.

I got my tickets to the shiny chrome-blasted Les Miz tour next... summer (I don't think I've ever bought tickets this far in advance for something local)

I'm going twice (a week apart), in the second mezz, so I'll just bring my telescope
