This is all extremely weird. He seems to have crossed the Channel because he was already in some kind of online feud with Farage, and was immediately detained.

He’s been living in Sweden since 2019.

Man who entered UK on small boat found guilty of threatening to kill Nigel Farage
Fayaz Khan, 26, made the threat in a TikTok video that Farage told the court was ‘pretty chilling’

So Pete Hegseth is getting gender affirming care while kicking highly qualified, highly trained trans service members out of our military? Got it.

"Eye-catching..." is kinda how much of the West has ended up in this clown car hurtling towards authoritarianism. I think it's time to acknowledge that.

Strong speech from Badenoch. Well delivered. Sharp critique of government. Focussed on politically fertile territory on the economy. Eye catching policy which will get a lot of v positive press attention.

I just watched it and it's beautifully done but it does trigger a lot of emotions.

News: Bari Weiss just sent a memo to staffers at CBS News asking them to produce a memo explaining "how you spend your working hours—and ideally, what you've made (or are making) that you're most proud of."

One CBS News staffer puts it like this to me: "We just got Elon Musked."

Hegseth: "I'm also proud that today we're signing a letter of acceptance to build a Qatari Emeri air force facility at the Mountain Home Airbase in Idaho."

I don’t think some younger people get how weird it was to find out that Busta Rhymes and Snoop Dogg were huge Benny Hill fans.

It’d be like finding out Kendrick Lamar and Glorilla were big fans of The Brittas Empire.

Not that I'm advocating this but would litter pickers work?

Compared to Dylan and Springsteen, country-music legend Johnny Cash can seem deeply uncool. It took time for me to appreciate his profound, plainspoken strength, writes Jon Fasman.

LMAOOOOO

A bunch of comedians tried to make up for their participation in the Riyadh comedy festival by donating their pay to Human Rights Watch and Human rights Watch was like “nah bitch we don’t want your dirty blood money” 😂😂 I’m dying

So the moral of the story is do not underestimate the willingness of deranged thugs to set fire to the entire world over something that has no factual basis whatsoever.

It's worth adding that Hamit Coskun is an asylum seeker - what Jenrick would call 'an illegal immigrant' - and one who has self-evidently 'got into trouble with the law in our country'.

But to Jenrick, Coskun is clearly the right sort of 'illegal immigrant' in the right sort of trouble.

There was absolutely no evidence whatsoever that Jews in Germany deliberately sabotaged the WW1 war effort or organised a grand conspiracy to destroy Germany after the war. Zero.

Obvious point but worth bearing in mind during this ‘Great Antifa scare of ‘25’

What was that they were saying about Digital ID's only being used for 'right to work'? Either they are forcing 13 year olds out to work... or Digital ID's really are to be rolled out for everyone...

I see Robert Jenrick is supporting Hamit Coskun who is appealing his conviction by reference to the ECHR (which Jenrick wants to withdraw from).

Who knew that the ECHR could be useful, even to the anti-ECHR Hard Right?
