The last No Kings in Chicago was like 90 percent older female protest veterans who've been derided as normie lib wine moms for the past decade so maybe we could start nagging, like, "woodworking dads" or find a way to condescend to 30-year-old men for a goddamn change.

i do think it's important to note that liberal boomer pilates grandmas have *already* been showing up in pretty huge numbers to protests for a long time (and do a lot of other non-glamorous organizing)-they're way down there on the list of demographics who need extra encouragement to get out there

the actual story here, which the media never talks about, is that police in this country have become a discrete right-wing political operation. the story isn't about cops leaving (they're lying about that), it's about the police trying to exert influence over elections.

Really the only single player social deduction game that really gets the dynamics of playing it w/actual people. There’s a power gamer who can sus people really well but is distrusted by everyone else bc of it. There’s the easily led moron, players who play with their feelings, it’s amazing design

Gnosia getting an anime adaptation still seems like the most random thing. It’s a sort of visual novel meets Werewolf/Mafia game with a time loop meta narrative and came out on the PSP in Japan. Then a few years later, it got a PC release more widely. Never struck me as a huge seller but great game

Collect a claim from one side, collect a claim from the other, present them both to the reader with an awkward shrug and a "who can say?"

And the photo choice -- Noem's looking down ... on what? The reverse angle showed a small crowd and a quiet street. But can't show that, it's biased to one side!
