The woman who won the Nobel Peace Prize supports Israel’s invasion of Gaza, let that sink in. This after a million people signed a petition for Francesca Alabanese to win it.

The trickle of BA.3.2.2 samples from Western Australia has continued.

While the frequencies of this variant are still quite low, it’s ongoing spread (likely to many thousands of infections by now) gives it every opportunity to acquire the mutations it needs to succeed.

I rode into Rutherglen today expecting the end of a rail trail. Instead, I found colour, creativity, and hope on old silos.

Rural Australia isn’t “anti-environment”. It’s adapting and creating. That’s active hope and the spirit of #CitSciOz25.👇🏽

This is why one of my mantras is 'politics itself can be a biological risk'. Wildfowl migration has already begun in North America, which will mean a significant increase in H5N1 infections in poultry, dairy cattle and humans. Yet politics is dismantling the defence.

The fundamental disconnect is that the steps required by both science and patient safety are the steps hospital infection control leaders foolishly dismissed in 2020.

They have to choose between killing patients, and admitting a very big mistake.

Turns out their egos are worth more than your life.

"Masks prevent the transmission of respiratory viruses. The science is clear," writes Iris Gorfinkel. "The standards are in place. A health policy that reacts to hospitalizations and deaths falls below the long-held standard of do-no-harm. Policies that are enacted only once hospitalizations are high do the opposite.

Meiselas: Trump says he’s focusing right now on laying off the Democratic agencies and government employees, whatever that means. Again, completely pathetic behavior, and in normal times, this would be impeachable and/or 25th Amendment territory.

Trump launched the TrumpRX website today.

It has a photo of Trump and an AI-generated family with too many fingers and mangled toes.

NSW police wrongly categorised a “significant” number of incidents as antisemitic.

Anti-Palestinian graffiti and verbal abuse of pro-Palestine protestors was incorrectly recorded as antisemitism in figures the government cited to defend restrictions on protests.
