If that 27% can lead the 49%, we'll be unstoppable, ushering in a new reform age rivaling Reconstruction, the New Deal and the Great Society by restoring them all better than ever. Industrious @democrats.org need to write their own project plan that does this. Call a panel right now. #restoration

System needs major reform - Confident it can change: 27%

System needs minor or no changes: 23%

It's official:

-2025 is now a more threatening year for the survival of the republic than 1968.

-John Roberts will now go down in history as a worse chief justice than Roger "Dred Scott" Taney.

I personally know some Trump voters who will be very furious at anything that touches their special needs children. These people don't understand that what they're doing that did not happen Trump's first term is to target groups of people represented in their coalition who will be like MTG about it.

There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

America’s children deserve better than this.

They like what Trump is doing, this really isn't hard. It's not both-sideism, it's running cover for the regime by choice in order to reach a desired outcome. Can we please stop cutting this institution slack it does not deserve?
davidcorn.bsky.social
A classic case of irresponsible both-sidesism from the NYT. The story is that Trump and MAGA propagandists are lying about Portland to incite a conflict, not that there are different views of the matter.

I'm so proud of everyone from my old neighborhood of Rogers Park in Chicago. I see what you have been and are doing. I am so proud of how organized the community is and how much more so everyone is becoming. It is inspiring. Just one example... And this is something EVERYONE can do. Everyone.
Informational flyer about Rogers Park Whistle Protocols, explaining how to use whistles to alert neighbors of emergencies, with color-coded alerts, steps for use, and encouragement to form a crowd and stay loud for safety.

The autocrat's toadies destroy functioning governance and launch crisis after crisis in order to create a nation that runs on patronage in which he's the only one able to do anything for anyone.

This is what I keep thinking and telling panicking people around me. The more it's clear people hate this, the more extreme they're gonna get because they know their time is short. After the no kings rallies it will likely ramp up dramatically, but no way out but through.

Is it just me, or does it seem the press is actually and completely terrified to report about Donald Trump's physical and mental health the way it would have if anyone else were president?

People like Peter Thiel and Elon Musk aren’t tech creators — they’re tech colonizers.
Rich white men who used privilege and capital to seize an industry built by real innovators, exploiting the minds and labor of creators while branding themselves as “visionaries.” #Pinks

Someone needs to put a big ads right outside airports with videos of what she's doing to innocent people. As far as asking how it's legal, it's not. That's why after this crisis courts need to make it clear that illegal acts do indeed matter, by imposing legal consequences for illegal behavior.

A video of Kristi Noem blaming Democrats for the government shutdown is now playing at airports across the U.S.

How is this even legal?

So Steven Miller is obviously the president. Trump is yet again, second in command, kind of, more like the comms director.

Does he have any companies or anything that we can protest in front of? Cause that worked really well with kicking Musk out of the government and maybe it would work here?

Trump is weak and Republicans know it.

You're going to see more cracks and dissent.

Epstein Files is the major weakness; the economy, national guard overreach, and support for Israel are the other ones.

But Epstein is the main fissure that they can't hide forever, and they know it.

Thank God for independent journalism and internet to get these stories out. If we were still dependent on legacy, corporate and even local media owned by national conglomerates, we'd be completely unaware. We need to share these everywhere, because unless they see it themselves, people do not know.

ICE left David, a 17-year-old boy, stranded on the side of Interstate 20 after pulling over his immigrant father, Hector, in Mississippi.

David began running in the scorching sun after the car and watched as it disappeared from sight—soon headed to a Louisiana ICE prison.

Here's their story.

Some true wealthy philanthropists need to step up in these troubled times and lift up efforts of people to improve everyone's lives in this country in various ways, from public schools, to libraries, to art, etc. The few who step up to do that will be remembered long after Bezos and Thiel.

Donald Trump ended the National Blue Ribbon Schools program this year.

But, I believe that educational excellence should be celebrated — and it's why we're picking up where they've dropped the ball.

So, imagine a 2028 that ends with a normal election and a Democratic president.

Does that president punish CBS? Does he kick it out of the Brady room's front row? Does his FCC go after its licenses? Does his FTC probe the Skydance deal?

No, probably not. No fear of reprisal if power shifts back.
gregsargent.bsky.social
Do CBS News executives understand that MAGA will not be in power forever? I genuinely think this is lost on a lot of people. They've gotten scammed by bad actors into believing Trump's 2024 win represented something seismic and even permanent. I predict they'll look back on this as a serious error.
