Identity & humanity are non-negotiable values--don't be manipulated.

President Biden said we're fighting for the soul of the nation. We are. We cannot lose that fight.

Two family members got got this text today. I didn't, and can't find anything about it. I cut most of the content. Authoritarian style disinfo is obviously going to be rampant this election but I find it interesting they're already dumping so much money spreading slime in this race.

They're constitutionally incapable of looking at a new creation, development, or invention as a new useful tool. For them it always has to be the next big thing, like they did with VR, and they're not going to get people onboard. People, as always, will use it when and where it applies for them.
It's inevitable, you simply must adapt to it and use it, you have no choice, but also please use it more or it's going to die

Biden did not go senile in office. Idiots.
“.. After one president who went senile in office and another who is nuttier than a Payday candy bar, we can only conclude that the 25th Amendment of the Constitution is just there for decoration.”

They don't need to be the leaders if they can't step up to meet the crisis, but it does need to be amplified that Gallego said straight up today that Trump is insane and unreachable. Others are saying similar, but they're not the ones being heard. That's the fault of the media and the party.
man I'm sorry, but "all of our elites are failing EXCEPT DEMOCRATS, WHO CANNOT BE BLAMED" is simply absurd when the leaders of the party are chuck schumer and hakeem jeffries
There is a partially good point in this thread but it ignores how the mainstream media relentlessly marginalizes innovative communications from Democrats who recognize the scale of our problem. Stancil, like Oliver Willis, often assumes that the messages he wants to hear will spread frictionlessly.

They're going to make history one way or another. How they choose right now will determine their permanent place in it.
A great profile of Sen. Tillis — the deciding vote on all four of his committees — who has become a proxy for the Senate finding some backbone.

“It just requires people to come out of the shadows,” he said.

Single issue voters are easily exploited. Republicans have been playing that game for years and it's what's kept them from going under.

That's unacceptable in 2026. Filing deadlines are too early, primaries are too early, and that's by design. @democrats.org @dscc.bsky.social @electdemocrats.bsky.social need to make major changes local to natonal by 2028 to prepare for what's coming. I hope and pray they are. @kenmartin.bsky.social

They will run for new terms unopposed.

All that plus Schumer ain't Mamdami and Mamdami is not the face of the entire democratic party right now. Schumer isn't either, but that's how too many see it.
Only if you ignore that the former is the mayor of one city and is getting things done, the other is the ranking Democrat in the United States Senate and can barely be bothered to talk about anything other than egg prices as Trump declares war on his fellow citizens and our European allies.
The pivot from "Mamdani is a political genius for focusing his message almost entirely on affordability" to "Schumer is a political moron for focusing his message almost entirely on affordability" is odd.

I like that the same day a guy was like “this place will never be Twitter” this thread gave us the most 2015 Twitter experience (complimentary) imaginable.

New — I wrote about ChongLy Scott Thao, the elderly Hmong American wrongly arrested and forced out of his home by ICE in his underwear during the punishing Minnesota winter, what witnesses saw, and DHS's racist claim that he fit the description of another Asian man they were looking for.

My story:

But what will happen to their mergers, and inside scoops on markets, and financial deals, and pardons?
True.
All it would take is for a bunch of these CEOs to confront Trump in front of the world and tell him he's unfit to run a hot-dog stand, and his presidency would be over. Seriously.

But none of them has the balls to do it.

But he said Denmark's not using it.
Just to be clear: the President is single-handedly dragging America to economic crisis and war with our closest allies.

And why? To conquer an overseas territory that we have no claim to, have never had a claim to, and already have military bases on.

Oh, and because he didn’t get a prize.
