This sets up an absurd standard where the only justification for criticizing Kirk is if he personally committed violence.

But the entire reason liberalism is under attack is the constant lies and endorsement of violence by prominent conservatives, not because they're doing it themselves!

"Charlie Kirk practiced politics the right way" and "Charlie Kirk practiced the right politics" are not equivalent statements. Kirk practiced bad politics in a liberal manner. When liberalism itself is under political attack, that is no small thing.
