I've mostly stopped caring about the China Hawks because I think America at this point is largely toothless and acting out like an imperialist child smashing up a small South American country doesn't work against China's long term strategy which has proven to be a savvy bet.

Feels like given all the stressors and over 40 years of swinging a pickaxe at the infrastructure of the US (this thing is riddled like swiss cheese), we should be seeing a cascading collapse in America anytime soon. Maybe in a little under two months. Will be surprised if a 2025 crash doesn't occur.

Taxes evaded as a percent of taxes owed from a study showing that the 99th wealth percentile and above evade significantly more taxes than everyone else. The richest evade 25% of the taxes they owe on average. The bottom 95% evade less than 3% of their taxes on average. While these data are from Scandinavia, similar patterns are likely in other countries, including the U.S.
