As imperfect and flawed as the New Deal was, (say in comparison to properly off-ramping for actual socialist transformation and its racist practical alliances with bourbon Democrats), the Hooverite Republicans have wanted to squeeze any semblance of its existence from American memory.
We have so much work to do and so many bridges to burn from the past. Silicon Valley must be targeted, we cannot avoid this issue. It has become the primary well of poison in our body politic right now and breaking it down will require at least a whiff of socialist thought being implemented.
I cannot press harder upon how much the Democratic party needs to be cleaned up from over 40 years of doing a Ronald Reagan impression and anyone capping for the party leadership or kneecapping organizations engaging in that clean up via primaries is a fucking stooge and a moron.
