Not only is he calling out chumps but you can literally trace many of the threads in our modern reactionary moment to many of the currents shot through in the writing by the authors listed here. It’s also a heads up.

I can’t help but think today about how many young people were savaged on social media, branded as anti-semites and abandoned by their schools for daring to call for a ceasefire. I remember saying that it was the first time I can remember that calling for ceasefire was regarded as a hostile demand.

Amongst our politicians, Mamdani is particularly under pressure to comment on Israel/Palestine (largely because of his ethnicity/religion). I think this statement is strong, w moral clarity, emphasis that there’s much still to do & accountability needed, & note that things are still tenuous.
