Troops to Portland still on hold, multiplying protest frogs, fact-check on Trump claims: Get caught up
It’s unclear when the 9th Circuit panel will issue its ruling, but it will likely come before an Oct. 17 hearing.

A key point is that the relationship runs both ways. Russia has provided support to radical right parties but Putin's rhetoric and views have also been affected by radical right narratives.

New post just out:

The relationship between Russia and the European radical right goes well beyond Reform's Nathan Gill being bribed.

In this post I trace the history back to the 1990s and look at the threat it poses now.

It’s infuriating that so mediocre and crude a power as Russia is running rings round European democracies and that they have so many willing collaborators.

Tim Dillon: "If you don't see a Republican candidate in 2028 that has the values that you think matter, will you throw your hat in the ring?"

Marjorie Taylor Greene: "I very much want to fix problems. That's honestly all I care about. And I am genuinely angry on behalf of every American."

Everything he's reported to have said in this BBC piece sounds like he's desperately trying to distance himself, knowing that the connection is real and toxic. If the press were investigating Farage with the same enthusiasm they went for Rayner, he'd be done for.

Have you noticed?
Whenever the issue of rejoining either the Single Market, the Customs Union or the whole EU is mentioned, a number of supposedly "pro-EU" accounts immediately jump in as the first answers to tell people why it wouldn't be possible. They are never constructive, always destructive.

Why does this tax exile 'foreigner' think our government should discuss policy with him? He should feck off back to Monaco. Made his choice based on his own interest, to avoid tax. Anything he has to say will be only in his own interests, again.

Margaret Thatcher recognised the need to provide asylum for refugees, as well as the need to distinguish them from immigrants. No hope of that from her successors, of course.

Eight Reform UK councils have indicated that they will raise council tax next year after struggling to find huge cuts in public spending.

That’s despite Reform UK flyers during the Local Elections criticising councils for doing just that.

Never trust a Reformer.

Limited liability is one of our weird silences. It's a massive free gift society makes to plutocrats, seldom remarked upon, let alone contested.
Shareholders should have to buy limited liability, like any other insurance. The insurers would then be liable. 🧵

I do, in fairness, think that we are at the beginning of a new time, and that liberal democracies and ageing societies across the Continent are struggling to adapt. But the point is Britain is very much part of that Story. One could even argue that they are ahead on a destructive European curve.

Love you 🇬🇧. But ditch the superiority complex. Please.
