Still hard to believe that there are videos and witnesses to someone shooting a woman in the face three times. Yet the shooter has not been arrested even though the police know who and where he is.

'Traitors'; 'globalists'. We see you and we know what Reform UK are.
Something to keep an eye on in Reform-land is Zia Yusuf's ever-escalating rhetoric. Calling political opponents "traitors" rarely ends well.

I don't think Trump comes out at all well from a violent clash between a Dem Congress and MAGA White House leading to Bovino and Homan trying to re-enact Jan 6 2021 with guns.

But I reckon Miller and others around Trump would be desperate and deluded enough to talk themselves into it.

I think @jamellebouie.net is right in arguing that Trump's team does not have state capacity or administrative skill to disrupt mid-terms.

But it is worth looking at risks of an escalating battle between legislative and executive branch after them leading to CBP/ICE goons trying to storm Congress.
I think everyone is overindexing on the mechanical implausibility of Trump "canceling" an election and ignoring the ease with which he could order ICE into swing districts on election day to "prevent illegal voter fraud"

Donald Trump threatens 10% tariffs on UK and Nigel Farage who has positioned himself as the president's best mate in Britain drops out of a much promoted interview on the BBC.

Strange.

Almost like the two things are connected.

"Under the weather" is a funny way to spell "chicken"
Farage is apparently 'under the weather' today and unable to talk about the US threats to the UK and Europe over Greenland.

Which is unfortunate.

The Trump administration is seemingly pulling out all the stops to get out of releasing the remaining Epstein Files.

On Friday, Trump’s Department of Justice filed a motion to block Reps. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie’s request for an independent monitor to oversee the release of the Epstein Files.

The Justice Department claims Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie’s request for an independent monitor is an overreach.

Worth noting that this state is known for "Minnesota nice" - politeness, friendliness, an aversion to confrontation.

It reminds me a bit of Brexit: we now spend so much time and effort solving a problem that is unnecessary and self-made - while there is an actual war going on on our continent.

There's no way Palantir could be good for the UK.
“Palantir is working on a tool for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that populates a map with potential deportation targets, brings up a dossier on each person, and provides a “confidence score” on the person’s current address,”
Report: ICE Using Palantir Tool That Feeds On Medicaid Data
ICE is using a Palantir tool that uses Medicaid and other government data to stalk people for arrest. This is exactly the kind of data privacy abuse that EFF has been warning about.

Speaking from the Old Continent, it isn't. It really, really isn't. It's a message to a country that we all thought of as a friend and ally but is now extremely unwell.
VARNEY: Troops from Germany, France, Sweden, and Norway are taking part in a military exercise in Greenland. What kind of message are they sending to America?

MARKWAYNE MULLIN: Well, I don't think this is a message to the US. This is a message to China and Russia.

On the basis Farage said "Labour figure" and not "MP" my money would be on someone like Glasman.

A more depressing aspect of this is just how open the field is these days for Labour "figures", including MPs, to genuinely be supportive of a lot of Reform's ideology.

Nigel Farage has claimed a "well known" Labour figure is due to join his party next week after Robert Jenrick's defection.
