In neonatal HSV (nHSV) contracted during birth, the virus can sometimes spread throughout the body and infect the brain, potentially causing life-threatening illness and long-term neurological damage. The mortality rate has declined but the morbidity rate has increased due to better detection.

Herpes simplex virus is the most common STI. It has 2 variants: HSV-1 & HSV-2. HSV-1 infects 2/3rds of the population, HSV-2 infects 1/8th. Most people with HSV never develop symptoms. Women are 2x as likely as men to contract HSV-2. People w/ HSV-1 have 2x higher odds of later developing dementia.

I am Jewish. Israel is a country where sexual assault and child murder are core tenets of the culture. This country should not exist. They act with such extremity because they know when you tell people what they actually do, it's so bad it registers as unbelievable.
