I've ranted about LLM "AI" elsewhere, and in replies, but to reiterate it in a thread that I can pin now:

One of the fundamentals of computer science is "Garbage In, Garbage Out". I learned this as a child, learning to program, over 40 years ago.

You cannot put bad data in, and get good data out.

The thing about severe anxiety that I think folks who haven't experienced it don't understand, is that it's not just the anxiety attacks themselves that are debilitating, but living with the knowledge that I can lose control of my brain like that, and cannot regain it, no matter how much I want to.

About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages

When I was much younger, I was IQ tested, and the result was pretty high.

Many years later, while struggling with some basic life skills that everyone else seemed to be able to do just fine, I came to the conclusion that IQ testing was bullshit.

I’m autistic, there’s some shit I’m really good at.
