The sort of telling thing about this, I think, is that this disparity would be pretty obvious to anyone—the candidate, his staffers, anyone—that even just rides the bus occasionally. The bus way over-indexes on elderly or disabled passengers because it requires less walking and stair-climbing.

A professor let me write one double-length paper across two classes I took from him. It counted for basically all of my grade. I wrote 20 pages in three hours a few days before Christmas and got an A.

This had a deleterious effect on my belief that I shouldn't just wing it in important situations.

When I turned 30 I had not yet written my first published book or my first published novel and did not know (or know of) some of the most important people in my life. I didn't know how much my life could still change, and did, after the age of 30. There is so much your life still yet to live.

I have reinvented myself and my career multiple times since I turned 30, and I expect to do so again. Do not believe you can't radically revamp your life as you age. You can, and you will, and you must!

I'd argue it's such a big number that it's not meant to be realistic for operating a company. They're just simply going to go under paying that debt off. It's not a question of if, but how soon.

Admittedly, he had a lot of books to do it across, but I can't think of anyone who articulated the human condition as well as Pratchett did.
