Long shot, but does anyone know of a DisplayPort → HDMI adapter that works with the original Oculus Rift (CV1) _for sure_?

(There are lots of adapters that _should_ in theory work, but in reality don’t. I already bought one.)

i think the only way for atproto to succeed is for us to show what apps can do when every app sees every other app's public data, and they share an identity system. no technical or sociological argument is as convincing as seeing seamless interop and the lighthearted competitive landscape it unlocks

I remain confused how people in my industry, the ones who built the web and benefited from its best days, can use AI. Those products, the companies, and the people behind them are choking the web to death. Is there no respect for what we’ve built?

If DDOS attacks are illegal, AI crawler spamming should be too. They’re wearing down the most useful parts of the web in their quest to produce the least useful.

In Yoshi's Island, a cave background sparkles, but only when Yoshi moves. This is achieved in an inventive way by making many 1-pixel "pinholes" in the background through which a field of stars is visible. The parallax motion shows the stars intermittently, creating sparkles.
