Good heavens, I didn't know this fabulous video is on YouTube. It's lovely to see my friends and neighbours Brian and Wendy Froud when they were still so very young! I've spent the last year helping them with a new book (we're not allowed to reveal the subject yet), which will be out in autumn 2026.

Only oppressors think the oppressed must follow their civility rules. Certainly they are quite capable of acting ‘rudely’ to get their own way with no thought of manners

Yeah, I used it a lot in the nineties/noughties for business. Never used to hate it. But I used to drive and park.
Only since moving to France have the transport issues affected me. Honestly believe it needs better transport links.

The article is subtly way more harsh on chat fishing than appears at first sight.

Initially put off by the ‘isn’t it fun’ tone, but it absolutely highlights the red flags.
And how oblivious those holding them are to it.

Which is really far more revealing of her contempt for the gay community than anything else.

This article is way too kind on what I’d regard as blatant fraud.
I know I know, your mileage might vary.

But given there isn’t a single success story in the piece, only experts trying to avoid calling it manipulative lies & resulting in increasingly disempowered & scarred young people…

"Something like: Hey Sarah, still laughing about [tiny shared moment/reference if you've got one] - good to meet you!" Rich went back and forth with ChatGPT until he felt they'd hit upon exactly the right message ("Hey Sarah, it was lovely to meet you") but sadly she never replied, he says. "It's been two weeks now."
