Really hoping #COP30 does not go backwards or let the dream of a netzero future go up in flames....
It's day 12 of #COP30 and finally we have movement on the text.

In summary, it looks like the small minority of opponents of transitioning away from fossil fuels have been allowed to run roughshod over this text.

But let's dive in...
It's day 11 of #COP30 and it's the second dawn without a new text.

Looks to be another fairly quiet day today until we get that draft text.

🫧 Environmental rights MOP up in Geneva!

💁 This week, @eeb.org led NGOs at the 8th Meeting of the Parties of the Aarhus Convention - the international treaty which enshrines our environmental rights: access to justice, access to information and public participation.

Here's what went down 👇🧵
@unep.org is working with countries to ensure development is done in a climate smart way #ForPeopleForPlanet

During #COP30 in Belém, I had the chance to visit the CITinova II project, led by UNEP with GEF support, that is delivering more sustainable cities.
