Yeah, could easily draw parallels to hip hop “remix” culture for showing that creativity and craft can still exist. Again, it’s all based on who is doing it and how (i.e. craft). Someone just tracing 3D poses or photo ref can still knock it out the park with aesthetic choices under their control

Yeah, there’s an understandable majority-leaning focus on outcome rather than craft, if we zoom out to non-artists viewing and appreciating art. My bugbear is when those who trace pretend they have discipline, or rather, I assume they have discipline and then downplay my own efforts and get dismayed

Kind of depends on what people value/enjoy in their work process and where they want to invest their time/energy. I’m a big process person (act of doing from scratch) but it mentally fatigues me if I don’t get it right and I lose confidence. I can see why people trace to preserve confidence/energy

UBI is not a dystopian outcome. People will use their basic income to be more civically engaged, which will force a reduction in inequality, which is why we don't already have UBI.
