Can you hear the words coming out of your mouth, Megan?

Yes, the guy who received so many threats because of your own actions he had to flee to Europe isn’t the real victim. No. You are, because people called you out.
Megyn Doyle, a student at Rutgers and the treasurer for the Turning Point USA chapter who started the Change.org petition to remove Bray, told Fox News Digital in a statement that Di Filippo's petition is slanderous.
"The petition once again proves that Conservative students are always on the receiving end of hate when speaking about concerning issues," Doyle said.

The Rutgers TPUSA chapter — whose characterization of a historian there as a “outspoken, well-known antifa member” led to death threats and moving his family to Europe — think *other* people are being “blatantly defamatory.”

Not them, though. They’re doing politics the right way.

Alexander Di Filippo accuses Turning Point USA of inciting violence against Antifa handbook author Mark Bray.

From today's TRO hearing in Illinois v. Trump, Judge April Perry:
jonseidel.bsky.social
Perry: "I agree with you about the seriousness of threats, generally, across the United States right now. I don't think there's a single public servant, really, who is not being subject to threats.

"Mine started about 10 minutes after I got this case."

I've been wondering why Dominion Voting Systems suddenly reached settlements with Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, and One America News.

Turns out, it's been purchased by a Republican-owned election tech firm that insisted on it, per Axios.

stealing this phrase. "easier to move gigabits than gigawatts".

You do lose some power, even at 200kV.

The real problem is that grids are under enormous pressure to allow new connections, and can delay adding wind farms and solar parks for YEARS. This can be called stranded power, and big power users chase it.

It's easier to move gigabits than gigawatts.

As I observed in my Substack Round Up this past week, the endgame of the military strikes against drug cartels in international waters is to lay the groundwork to use lethal military force against Americans at home. Pay attention open.substack.com/pub/asharang...

Ninth Circuit just ended appeals from denial of anti-SLAPP motions in federal court, overturning 20+ years of precedent. From a practical standpoint, massively consequential case. From a principled standpoint, major blow to free expression. Bad.

I think if any Dem said this they'd find themselves absolutely drowning in support. It has to MATTER that this is happening and that we won't just pretend it's over and move on. Because that is literally how we got here. Again.

Exactly. I want Democratic leadership that are openly letting us know that if/when the clock turns, there will be Nuremberg Trials for the fascists that have taken control of this country.

Be nice if any single national Democrat promised to hold these fuckwads accountable for malicious prosecution should the wheel ever turn around.

But, whatever. Everybody who opposes Trump will just have to weather this bullshit.

We are witnessing the most lawless behavior by a leader in American history, just daily, extraordinary abuses of power. National Democrats must speak out in a loud and clear voice against Trump's escalating authoritarianism. It is time now.

incredibly, bleakly funny that trump is going after christopher wray, who spent his entire tenure at the fbi with his head down desperately trying to avoid trump's attention and did nothing to protect the bureau from trump's attacks www.wsj.com/politics/pol...
Other prosecutors are investigating former CIA director John Brennan, another prominent Trump critic, and former FBI director Christopher Wray, who was originally appointed by Trump but enraged conservatives who came to believe he had wielded the bureau’s powers against them. Former officials have received subpoenas in recent days in the Wray inquiry, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter.

I've said it before, but it's remarkable how quickly the feds have managed to piss away the seemingly ironclad presumption of candor & credibility they enjoyed with federal judges.

They've lied so shamelessly, flagrantly, & frequently that judges have decided not to be played for fools any more.

U.S. District Judge April Perry says it comes down to a "credibility determination."

"I simply cannot credit [the Trump administration's] declarations to the extent they contradict state and local law enforcement. … DHS' perception of events are simply unreliable."

#BREAKING A federal judge say she will grant "in part" a request by the state of Illinois for a temporary restraining order against the deployment of National Guard troops into the state.

U.S. District Judge April Perry is still ruling and has not outlined the details of her order.

"literally all nonviolent protest” could be considered evidence of rebellion. Is that your argument?

Roughly my take on it
natanael.bsky.social
Self quote, when in disagreement, you should appeal to the highest set of values that your opponent holds, neither go higher nor lower.

(or else they'll never truly believe your argument)

And as a corollary - if they have no values, do not appeal to them
