Pritzker is a lot of talk but look at the actions of the Illinois state PD. While he’s making idol threats for some ambiguous future state, they’re DHS’s and Texas NG’s shield against the community so they can continue to terrorize it relentlessly.

To put a finer point on it, the police (and every politician who has any degree of power over them) have, are, and will continue to *facilitate* this invasion and are not there to protect you or serve your community. It’s not that they’re “not doing anything,” but that they are helping this happen.

Important to note ICE tends to drop off detainees before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m., which is why people were protesting at 5 a.m. to begin with. It's not because waking up at 4 a.m. was a convenient time for protesters!

New: Broadview, IL Mayor Katrina Thompson issued an executive order today - her first this year - limiting protest outside the Broadview ICE facility to between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The order cites "recent escalation of violence by ICE" at the facility as reason to restrict protest there.
