1) truthnuke

2) I think it's funny to consider seven months a long time to prep for a complete-and-total overhaul (really abolishment) of the de minimis program

3) UPS did not have seven months to prepare because the Trump admin has changed the de minimis rules like 5 times at this point

Bad journalists support other bad journalists because it makes them think they’re actually good at their job. Neither of these people are a good standard for journalism. They’re bad and should not have the positions they have.

This is really smart. Amazed at the hysteria over the ascendance of a woman entrepreneur who clearly knows how to cover and sell news and who's not afraid to take on a mob. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

It’s impossible to overstate how much “abolish ice” is the normie position now here in chicago — just countless random moms at toddler soccer on a park district field asking me where I bought my anti-ice t-shirt. average people don’t like our neighborhoods being terrorized.

A friend ran the Chicago marathon today and said he couldn’t count the number of FUCK ICE signs along the way.

I just want to say, it's not a planning problem. The shipper has to pay the tariff, and they have very little ability to recover the debt, or even to contact, the customer. It's an inversion of how shipping usually works, no amount of planning will help bsky.app/profile/kevi...

If any child in your life has an IEP or 504 plan:

Trump fired (we think) all of the employees in the office at the US Department of Education that disburses special education funds from the federal government that school districts use to pay for those plans.

You may have to wait a while for an answer as Sally Jenkins is still trying to unravel the mystery of “what were Charlie Kirk’s views?”
sallyjenx.bsky.social
One of the reasons I'm not familiar with his views is that I find they've been inaccurately or incompletely reported. When I do listen to him in full, he speaks with civility, and his full context has usually been lost. This disappoints me in my profession. That is what I'm saying.
ziajd.bsky.social
You admitted you're not familiar with his views but are saying he argued with civility. Which one is it, Sally?

Cuz it sounds to me like you're defending him, and that's pretty disgusting and embarrassing.

This guy gives the game away with the misogyny but man—this attitude (if you have a lot of followers you should just let people be assholes to you) drives me nuts.

You walk into my dojo looking for a fight you’re gonna get it lol

This guy rocks (derogatory). You’re apparently a “thirst trap white woman” and were just all simps for thinking he’s a dumbass.

As much disdain as I have for Large Accounts that do a bunch of venting on main like they're smol beans, I have a ton more for the army of followers who swarm people like "they're a human being, don't police their expression of emotions!" This is the same as simping for favor from the rich.

Just because you're simping for a leftist conventionally attractive thirst trap white woman doesn't make you any different from the people who spend all day doing the same on X for Elon Musk.

Average NYPD salary with OT is well over 100K, you live like a king on that in Long Island ain't none of them going nowhere. Anyone who believes that is a stone cold idiot. How many other jobs are they qualified for where they could earn that? Zero. The answer is zero.

Lmao is this supposed to be a bad thing?
A tweet from Bari Weiss that says “"It's shaken me to my core," a lieutenant said of Mamdani's unexpected victory in June. "The absolute dread I feel is palpable.
"
Today in @TheFP our @Olivia_Reingold talks to the cops who say they will walk if Zohran Mamdani is elected in November:”

It's hard to help Americans left behind because so much of US identity is rooted in individualism. The average American conservative holds all three positions at once:

— Virtue signals about supporting US manufacturing
— Against raising the minimum wage
— Buys foreign imports because they're cheap
HardPass4 on Twitter tweets: "I'm willing to pay more for quality products if they are made in America, by Americans, who are paid a decent income." The tweet shows Norman Rockwell's "Freedom of Speech" painting, which is often used to show the tweeter is expressing a brave opinion. HardPass4 on Twitter tweets: "MINIMUM WAGE JOBS WERE NOT MEANT TO BE A CAREER. Why does no one understand this? Entry level jobs are STEPPING STONES to better jobs. No one wants to work towards that though." HardPass4 on Twitter tweets: "Buy $5 gloves instead of $50 ones. Trust me." The tweet shows a box of "Gorilla Grip" gloves. The label on Gorilla Grip gloves show they're made in China.

This two-parter below is exactly why it's hard to make clothes in the United States.

Let's look at how much it costs to produce a button-up shirt in the US. 🧵
Someone on Twitter replies to me: "meh. buy american or stfu."

Two hours later, in a separate thread, the write: "$30 for a single button-up is ridiculous unless it is decent quality silk."

The New York Times knows crime is not “out of control” in major U.S. cities — in fact, crime is way down from past years and decades — but NYT amplifies JD Vance’s lie without a fact check.
It’s journalism malpractice that helps the fascists.

The people willing to go out over their skis on this despite the fact that Weiss has zero experience running a broadcast newsroom and the reporting she has done herself has been littered with holes are just telling you they agree with her ideologically

Vance is having an incredible morning on the Sunday shows doing "oh so now it's illegal to [mundane thing]?"

A real quote when Vance is asked about whether Tom Homan kept the $50,000 he got in a fast food bag: "Is it illegal to take a payment for doing services?"

Really, bravo. Badge of honor. 10 out of 10. Amazing.

Not just the steroids, basically ever depiction of every character & event was wrong. The As had multiple genuinely great players who don't feature at all, art howe was a great manager who was absolutely on board w/ the As' strategy, and on and on. Making for a better narrative ofc, but just false
