I think in general the GOP has completely misread what recissions have done. There's literally no reason for dems to cave if Russ Vought can just do whatever the fuck he feels like.

There's no benefit for them, no higher ground. The politics are murky enough it doesn't matter.

If you see #birds 🐦 in your windows 🪟 or balconies, don't scare them. They're very cold 🥶 and just looking for a place to hide 🏠. They may dirty your space, but you're saving their life by letting them be there. Put some water 💦 and food 🍲 on it since they can't go get food in the cold 🌨.

If anyone thinks Americans who are tiring of Trump’s authoritarianism will automatically vote for the same Democrats offered to voters for years, I don’t think the next elections will go how those people imagine. Nor do they understand today’s US voters.
