I feel like I have more room to think and to breathe, which means I have more room (and brain power) to regulate whenever I need to and life doesn’t feel like an emergency from the second I wake up till when I go to bed. Life feels manageable. It feels so good to be properly stimulated again lol

It’s been like a week back on adderall now, I think? I feel so much better overall, much easier to just start on things I avoid and finish them in a reasonable timeframe. Which means I’m way less anxious in general, and I feel like the cloud of angry/melancholy depressive thoughts is lifting too

So a couple people have now hinted at the idea that Black people didn’t have it so bad post-9/11 because Muslims had it bad. This ignores that there were and are a lot of Black Muslims. This also ignores that more than one group of people can be targeted for state violence. It’s never just one group

Y’know when you’re a kid and you feel like a millionaire whenever you have more than 4 bills at a time? Regardless of if they’re 1s or 5s or any other denom. We’ve become such a cashless society (which I hate) that I feel that way still as an adult lol, like “ooh I’m rich I have many paper moneys!”

As much as I resent the fact that we all have to be in this office 8 hours a day cause I don’t like being forced to do anything, there is a lot of benefit in being around your colleagues and coworkers. Its easy to kinda just coast wfh (which I love) but being around others does force you to level up

One reason why words & talking can be of limited value in working w/ CPTSD is that years of living in survival mode have "taught" us words can be cheap-- that to be truly safe, we need to look past what someone says, to their behavior, their energy, their consistency.

"Unexplained" pain & brain fog are very common experiences for CPTSD survivors-- which does NOT mean "it's all in your head."

It means trauma responses often co-occur w/ physical struggles-- especially when the medical picture is murky & medical support is inconsistent.
