Hey @support.bsky.team whenever I open an embedded video in the iOS 26 app I can’t close it. The controls disappear an I have to close the app to get back to anything useful.

Well we don't love you, you pair of mithering transphobic cunts. Why don't you fuck off together with your Saudi blood money and not come back? THAT is summat i'd love very much, personally. Trans rights are human rights, and you can get in the fucking bin.

Well, unbelievably, Tanya, we actually have ministers in the Albanese government who are arguing that giving police more powers to cause poverty will stop rape or murder or child abuse, that police should cause more poverty and trauma despite never reducing rape or murder or child abuse.

Little known fact about Jesus: he was also very close to the gambling lobby, and fought hard to shut down freedom of information requests
At the Christian prayer breakfast this week, Attorney-General Michelle Rowland said that the “principles and values that Jesus lived by underpin the role of Australia’s first law officer” and claimed that “our values and faith” guide lawmakers. Read more: rationalist.com.au/australias-a...

I love that Mamdani is what the right claimed Obama was: A Muslim socialist born in Africa. The right practically manifested Mamdani into existence.

Honoured to host Sydney Peace Prize winner Judge Navi Pillay to brief parliamentarians on Aus's obligation to prevent & punish genocide. She made it clear that genocide is occurring now, and efforts must be made now to prevent it. #politas #auspol
It’s true but it’s so pointless. Seeking to stay in power but with no other purpose than staying in power. It completely shits me. We need an electoral system that incentivises getting elected to do something and if that something isn’t like or any good you get chucked out.
On the one hand it becomes stable centrist. On the other, Australian centrist politics is mediocrity at its core that prevents you from solving any substantial problems outside of housekeeping (eg lifting bulk billing rates to 90% is good, but housekeeping - climate change is outside of the purview)
This will be great for the economy. All those people from the USA wanting USA looking teeth will have to get them from some expensive technological solution that will cost lots of US$…
First RFK Jr. wanted to take fluoride out of water and has had some success in Republican jurisdictions that think scientific evidence is for chumps.

But that wasn’t enough harm for him, so now he’s restricting kids’ access to fluoride supplements.

Gas led recovery 🙃
So, Australia collects 43 cents per $100 of exported gas.

Qatar collects 46 DOLLARS per $100 of exported gas

And Norway collects 56 DOLLARS per $100 of exported oil

This is not just a piss take ... it's the out and out theft of our natural resources.

‘For every $100 of gas exported, Australia gets 43 cents’: Unions open new tax battle
The federal government this week overhauled its superannuation tax reforms. Now the union movement says it should radically overhaul taxes on gas exports.

Albanese is not who he once was.
Albanese is not who he pretends to be.
Albanese is not progressive.
Albanese is not a leader.
Ouch. Faint praise and all that..
It did not sound like genius when sung…
