The procgen systems I work with are much much *much* simpler than yours, but I do try to ensure that every random name/trinket/book title generator can accidentally produce "Bobcat Goldthwait".

Master! This is rough. Like, really rough. I can't believe it myself. The king is trapped in the puzzle dungeon. What order to pull the pins in? I'll let you play for free. In the name of Harman...

In video games, you will often find a fully roasted chicken abandoned on the ground, and eating it extremely quickly makes you feel better. What's less known is that this is also true in real life

love that bloodborne keeps getting all theories and analysis but the actual player character never has any clue what the fuck is going on. it's the best. guy just ends up killing dogs and ramming his fist into pigs assholes and if asked why can only manage a shrug and "something about blood i think"

In Super Smash Bros., the skeletons visible when characters are hurt by electric attacks are not tied to specific animations, and instead are a form that can be toggled on and off at any time, including in cutscenes. Below are excerpts of the game's intro, with skeletons.

I snapshotted the opening of each transcript in my old Infocom transcript printout collection.

Doesn't reveal much new, but it was fun.

(I was hoping to determine the release number of the version of Suspended that I played, but the transcript doesn't show it.)

As an instructor, I'd rather see your fever dream, No Doze-fueled 4AM essays written at an IHOP rather than anything generated by an LLM.

Hope this helps

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.
wrote 20 pages on Faulkner's The Bear four hours before final papers were due on trucker pills and coffee and cigarettes and got an A, fuck you.
You people couldn't hang with real slackers.

I once arrived at a psych 101 class & found I'd totally blanked the paper due that day. Asked if I could turn it in after mid-class break & she said sure. Sat in the front row & wrote it longhand, ran to the comp lab to type & print it, and ran back. Got an A. "I can't believe you pulled that off."

Personally I’m not interested in debating people who think it’s okay to fry “just” the lower half of King Triton. That’s not what I use social media for. A moral baseline is that the entire mermaid is off limits for culinary purposes

Today I showed the designers that you can name cells in spreadsheets and use the names in formulas (i.e. "=PLAYER_LEVEL" instead of "=C12"). You can then use the Name Manager to track or rename them. I thought this was common knowledge, but I guess not, so sharing that tidbit here.
