by the way, if you go to amoe.playatmcd.com, you can get 10 codes per day for the monopoly thing + 10 bonuses, and while the app says can't use multiple freebies at once, you just go up to a kiosk and keep ordering every single freebie individually using your account. so, like, free food.

Actually speaking of the "kids these days" stuff I don't really have much patience for handwringing over zoomer “brainrot” humour because I grew up with "We Drink Ritalin" (actual title!) and other animutations on albinoblacksheep. We weren't an erudite generation

in case you didn't know, boiler room got bought out by a subsidiary of KKR, which is an investment group that also funds weaponry for israeli and initiatives for other indigenous displacement projects relating to oil!!! WE ARE NOT FANS OF BOILER ROOM AROUND HERE. communities have a FULL-ON BOYCOTT.

Watching this 'Love Has No Labels' ad campaign featuring John Cena from 2015 is breaking my brain

It's not that I'm pining for time that didn't exist by mistaking an ad for a lived experience

It's the fact that boilerplate Corporate Liberalism from 10 yrs ago clears anything Dems communicate today
riningear.bsky.social
I'm sick and tired of these random-ass videos calling their little dj projects a "boiler room set" when they're like, in the middle of a grassy field or in their bathtub. it's a DJ set, tell us the genre, and STOP IGNORING THE RAVE SCENE'S BOYCOTT OF BOILER ROOM AFTER IT GOT BOUGHT OUT BY KKR

Proud to stand with @workersjusticep.bsky.social in calling for @council.nyc.gov to pass @justinbrannan.bsky.social's Int 1332, which would eliminate unjust deactivations of app-based delivery workers.

Their opinion is their opinion, whatever, but they’re re-writing history here. TRON was Disney’s highest-grossing live action film in 5 years, a decent hit that made a lot from merchandise and arcades. Home video was also very successful for TRON, and Legacy didn’t flop, it made $400 million.

Pretty confused by how TRON became a big-budget movie franchise. Was it a bit hit when it came out? No. Did it become a big hit on video/TV? Also no. Do people have fond nostalgic memories of it? Eh kinda but not really. Was it secretly great and critically acclaimed? No again

(I also visited a few friends abroad and did some tourism obvs but like, I centered a massive leg of this trip around making it to this festival)

it's completely okay to take a break from something you love. I got so tilted over something extremely mundane in my roleplay community that I logged off and walked into a techno club which led to me eventually literally traveling abroad for a music festival. literally go take a break

I still find it wild how anime fans, by and large, generally disowned Nobuhiro Watsuki and his work the moment he was outed as a pedophile. Meanwhile, Harry Potter fans keep finding new excuses to support the thing while the creator is actively working to exterminate trans people.

It cannot be made clearer.

If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.
