I'll go one up: TRON would be a better thing if it worked as a collective narrative similar to what the SCP Foundation does. Every artist adds/changes/interprets it.

But instead of writing, it's audio content and occasional accompanying visuals.

Best TRON stories were never in the main movies.

The thread has a lot of insight but this particular point I blame on advertising.

Adults, contrary to children, are conditioned to NOT look up at anything that wants our attention because 9/10 times it's ads.

Our brains just stopped registering that noise, sweeping actual useful signage with it.

Adults will stand there wall-eyed while someone under a massive sign saying "Standard Screening, Enter Here" repeats it out loud to them "Yes, standard screening, here," while their kids get it instantly.

when I was defending itch I heard from a lot of - frankly to my shock - other queers who were like "it's a platform, platforms are the enemy" and until we're able to distinguish _as users_ the ways in which worker owned services aren't your enemy and deserve grace, we won't be seeing very many
