More waves crashing on the sandcastles of hopium. I'm famously pessimistic, but the data continues to surprise me to the downside. It's relentless. We've not seen anything like this for 45 years. Compounding, mutually reinforcing, job-killing dynamics. (1/2)

Seems like a good time to share this again - given the government's decision to weaken the methane emissions target and not to put a price on agricultural emissions northandsouth.co.nz/2021/10/18/n...

I absolutely 💯 decry the attacks on fundamental science but cannot help but be reminded that so many people pissed off now were silent when humanities funding was obliterated & don’t step up for Mātauranga, nor care about the rising misogyny their colleagues have described for a decade.

skf-fineart:Ancient Roman mosaic depicting a rabbit driving a chariot pulled by two geese.Roman Imperial (31 BC - AD 476)

This image is a mosaic depicting a humorous scene where a duck is harnessed to a cart carrying a rabbit. The mosaic is framed with a decorative border featuring geometric patterns and colored shapes. Such playful and imaginative designs are typical of ancient Roman art, where animals were often depicted in whimsical or anthropomorphic settings.

If you are fuming about the derailment of climate ambition in AoNZ, how about helping fund an investigation into where this came from 👇

The crowdfund for a podcast investigating how the idea of quitting the Paris climate accords went from fringe to mainstream is getting closer and closer to the goal. If 25 more people pledge $5 we'll be three quarters of the way there

I thought I’d have a go at answering the question: what’s the flow on effect on emissions budgets from the methane cuts?

The answer was worse than I had anticipated

I read that recently, and it’s okay, but not the wholesale change my body needed. Good for reducing sugar/carbs rather than changing habits.

Must be 18 months since a real dietician tasked me with trying to eat 30 different plant foods a week, per Megan Rossi’s method.
