It's a rag, but still very influential and well-connected in British politics. Its editor is a former government minister, Boris Johnson was a previous editor. It hosts parties attended by media and political elites from all sides. You're underselling just how insane this is.

Tragic to see the White House being demolished. One of the United States’ oldest buildings, it was built in 1978.
They get an appearance fee too, it's pretty decent money for a day of filming usually.
You're competing with a lot of established teams in those sports though. It's hard to imagine a Sale Sharks fan abandon their team for an astroturfed City Group project. You'd be best to try popular sports that lack big teams. Nottingham Forest have started a pro netball team this season for example

When people ask, "Right before the Republic crumbled, who was doing the best 19th century literary pun stencils?" remember my name.
Honestly think it's more likely that he wanted it to be purely visual so people weren't on their phones whilst they watched it
The biggest difference between normal people and politicians is that most would see culture and sport as the most fun cabinet position, but instead it's treated as some kind of terrible booby prize for people not quite good enough to be a proper minister.
