“Of course it’s generic” is true and honest.

Why are you going to bat for something intrinsically incapable of producing nothing at all that isn’t ersatz versions of thousands or millions of people’s uncredited work?
Oh, wait. It’s to give break frames to the video generation because if it tries to render more than roughly six seconds it goes right back to producing Will Smith spaghetti stuff.
There is exactly zero advancement in ways that really, really matter. The imitation of language in that video is HILARIOUS, and the visual style of the game is very perfect in its midness; entirely generic. And why is there a weird directions menu (instead of dynamically going in one path) exactly?
OK, AI research, development and deployment has siphoned about a billion dollars a day from the global economy for the last four years. How many more trillions do you think it will take to make one of these videos of an imaginary video game that doesn’t look like total dog water?
i really enjoy the idea that he already studied logic systems to improve his Warhammer game and then just took the class as a gimme credit

great to see the government pushing straight nazi-era propaganda

a tweet i saw that really opened my third eye said basically that there's no such thing as red states and blue states, there's just states where the big city/ies that everyone else hates are a big enough portion of the population to dominate politics and states where they aren't
I mean, this is the whole problem, isn't it? A party rooted in the liberal, cosmopolitan parts of the country can't win outside of them, but you also can't not have a party rooted in those regions because that's a huge and influential part of the country.
Sneak peek of our newest poll, to be released Monday:

- Zohran is startlingly unpopular nationally, and is doing worse than AOC/Newsom — and his numbers are far worse than AOC's ever were, including in 2018.
- Schumer probably gets clobbered by AOC in 2028.

This is the abhorrently unethical man who served Trump and got rewarded with an appeals court seat. Democrats should begin impeachment proceedings against him the moment they are able to do so.

Being a contrarian is very tired now because everyone is doing it, even the most empowered people. Also, the most obvious contrarian take designed to get people to yell at you and feed your persecution complex is to go Nazi. Thus, seemingly fully half of Republicans have gone Nazi.

Grok now cites Aporia, a white nationalist journal, when making arguments. It has been lobotomized to treat race science as true, which causes answers on racial questions to degenerate into word salad where it always rotates back to defending white supremacists viewpoints and sources.

They just gassed Wrigleyville. Yes, Wrigleyville
Ald. Timmy Knudsen reports immigration activity throughout his ward, which is a lot of Lincoln Park, one of wealthiest neighborhoods in city and home to DePaul University

Mamdani is particularly charismatic but I do think he’s a good example of what Republicans have known for years, which is that people will vote for a candidate even if the candidate has some positions that they don’t agree with as long as it’s clear that they have real enthusiasm for it themselves.

The most Republican guy is the guy who owns the used car dealership, a tanning salon, and a boat in a place that has been economically decimated by deindustrialization

See, for instance:

The trend is real, but this NYT analysis at the Congressional district level has big ecological bias

Poor *areas* vote Republican, but it's often the richer *individuals* within those poorer areas that are most Republican

And many poor *individuals* rich blue urban *areas* vote Dem
Welcome to the only political movement in the Democratic Party that feels any hope for the future!

a fun thing to consider is that China, and probably Russia, almost certainly have the ability to post from the president's Truth Social account. they just know that they only get to use that *once*.
I think the White House is probably absolutely riddled with spies and listening devices and also they're getting exactly as much actionable intelligence as you'd get from browsing Truth Social.
it truly seems like the way up the career ladder is to prove to your betters that you are good at clinging to them like a remora, and if you don’t have that experience eating the bacteria off a richer man’s ass, then Andrew Cuomo appears out of nowhere to cry about you not having Experience
