Egypt has extremely strict gun control laws. Civilians are only permitted to own handguns -- no rifles or shotguns -- and only if they can prove they need the weapon for a specific purpose. Background checks for licensing are extensive and include vetting of family members and psych evaluations.

I've long held the view, in response to the naysayers exclaiming 'UK recognition of Palestinian state is misplaced!', that it's impossible to say empirically that it had a negative effect. How could these people know?

In reality, it was part of a bigger picture, a broader move toward the end goal.

Mainstream media needs to pick this up and give the UKIP/Brexit Party/Reform UK crowd a grilling.

Says that those protesting 'against Israel' were 'deceived', all but saying they supported Hamas.

Protesters railed against genocide, not Israel.

It's peculiar that Trump's unilateral recognitions of elements of Israeli statehood aren't lamented in the same way as other states' recognitions of Palestine are.

CBP agents knocked on an El Paso home at 7:15 a.m.

The owner asked to secure his Rottweiler, Chop, in the bathroom.
