As I note in this episode, I'm a woman so I'm used to people reflexively dismissing me as "stupid" or "ignorant." So not surprised that happened here.

But I was a young Republican in high school. I would have *never* said shit like this. Ever.

That’s why groups like YCT and eventually TPUSA formed — because Young Republicans weren’t radical enough.

Shortly after arriving in grad school, I volunteered to be adult in the room while undergrads watched the Obama-McCain debate.

I can’t speak about anything earlier than that, but based on the comments they made about Obama that night Young Republicans have been this way at least 18 years.
